The Vaasa-based renewable energy expert Ampner has been chosen as project partner for the Swedish wind and solar farm developer OX2 in delivering 455 MW wind farm in Lestijärvi, Finland.

Lestijärvi wind farm project includes 69 wind turbines with maximum height of 240 m. With the total capacity of 455 MW the wind farm will be one of the biggest ever built in Finland. The construction is expected to be started by the end of 2021 and the wind farm is planned to be operational in 2024.

Ampner will be responsible for evaluating the grid connection of the power plant, preliminary studies and design for the power plant including protection studies as well as grid code compliance service. Ampner’s grid code compliance service includes static and dynamic calculations as well as testing and validation of compliance.
