Our Power Engineering team has an open position for a Senior Power System Engineer. Team consists of highly skilled experts and our customers are for example power plant owners, EPCs, project developers and system operators.

We are looking for an expert whose primary duties are:

  • Modelling and dynamic simulation studies for different types of power plants in Finland and abroad including reporting
  • Grid code compliance services including documentation, simulations, reporting
  • Communication with different stake holders such as customers and manufacturers

Successful completion of the position requires the applicant to have:

  • M.Sc. in power engineering, power electronics, or similar competence
  • Experience in dynamic modelling and simulations of power systems
  • Ability to provide our customers with high quality service independently and as part of the team
  • Ability and willingness to mentor younger engineers and share knowledge internally
  • Good written and oral proficiency in English

We value the applicant’s experience in some of these areas:

  • Modelling and simulation tools for power systems such as PSSe and PSCAD
  • Modelling synchronous machines in power generation
  • Modelling inverter technology (energy storage or renewables) in power systems
  • Technical requirements for power plant grid connection
  • Technical solutions for substations and electricity distribution

Position is permanent and location for the position is Vaasa or Helsinki, remote locations can be considered.
